TOPICS:  Effectively using the Self-Reliance Plan form when ministering to temporal, emotional and spiritual challenges.  This training includes

• Navigating the church's self-help sites.  Life Help    Counseling Resources
• A demonstration of how to effectively use the Self Reliance Plan Form
• Training and Overview of General Handbook of Instructions Section 22: Providing for Temporal Needs and Building Self-Reliance
• Utilizing the Welfare and Self-Reliance Resources Booklet (the toolkit)
• An introduction to community resources  Utah 211
• Ministering to those with temporal and emotional needs (Handboodk Sec. 22)

The suggested Self Reliance Process is:

• Identify the Challenge or Crisis.
• Match the Resources to the Challenge or Crisis.
• Make a Plan.  
• Implement the Plan
• Return and Report
• Re-evaluate and Repeat

The Self Reliance Plan Form faciliates this process. The purpose of this meeting is to expand awareness of church and community resources and to train and encourage the use of the Self Reliance Plan form.
